Storm Competitions is one of the most-reviewed competition sites in the UK — 4.8 on Trustpilot from more than 38,000 reviews — with a JDM-flavoured prize list, low-ticket “LOW ODDS” draws, and a claimed £9m+ given away. It is also the site with the sector’s most persistent recent complaint cluster about free postal entries. Both halves of that picture belong in an honest review.
Who runs Storm and how it works
The current operating company is Storm-UK Ltd (incorporated May 2023, Manchester registered office), though the brand has run draws since around 2020. Competitions are fixed-odds with published maximums and sold counts. Live examples when we checked on 28 July 2026: a Nissan Skyline R34 GTT at £2.99 a ticket (15,999 max, £15,000 cash alternative); an iPhone 17 Pro Max “LOW ODDS” draw at £20 with just 99 tickets; £1,000 for £1.99 across 999 tickets; and a Rolex-and-cash instant-win draw at 99p across 399,999 tickets. Winners are chosen by what the terms call a verifiably random process, with draws run live on Facebook and results published on-site. Storm signed the government’s voluntary code of good practice for prize draw operators, effective May 2026.
The free entry route — and the complaint cluster
Free entry is by post to Storm Competitions, PO Box 811, Northwich, CW9 9WW, with the competition name, your full name, address, phone, email and date of birth, each entry posted separately and arriving before the closing date. Here is what we have to flag: through the first half of 2026, multiple independent reviewers alleged their qualifying postal entries never appeared in their accounts or the entry lists, with no reply from support — and Storm’s replies to some critics have been combative, in at least one case telling a complainant they were banned from entering by any method. One reviewer says they sent evidence to Trading Standards and the ASA; no ruling exists and the allegations are unproven. But if the free route is why you enter, this is currently the weakest place in the sector to rely on it — keep proof of postage and verify your entries appear on the published lists.
Reputation and payouts
Alongside that cluster sits a genuinely strong delivery record: 92% five-star reviews, winners describing same-day or next-day prize deliveries, fast cash payouts and personal WhatsApp or phone contact from the team. The cash-alternative wording in the terms is weaker than most (market value sought from local traders, less reasonable admin costs), but in practice the site displays fixed cash-alternative figures on each listing — go by what the listing states. Winners have 21 days to claim before a redraw.

Our verdict
For paid entries, Storm’s delivery and payout record is among the best-evidenced in the sector, and its LOW ODDS draws are a genuinely good format — sanity-check them with our odds calculator. Until the postal-entry complaints stop recurring, though, we cannot recommend relying on its free route, and that costs it leaderboard places. We will update this review as the pattern develops.
