The short version
Best Car Raffles is free to read. To fund the site, some outbound links to competition websites are affiliate links: if you click one and sign up or buy tickets, the operator may pay us a commission. This never costs you anything extra, and it never changes how we rate a site.
How affiliate links work here
- Affiliate links take you to the competition site via a tracking link so the operator knows we referred you. The price you pay is identical either way.
- We currently have affiliate partnerships with BOTB and 7days Performance (via the Confido affiliate network). We will keep this list updated as partnerships change.
- Reviews that contain affiliate links say so at the top of the page, and affiliate links are marked as sponsored in the page code, as Google requires.
What commissions do not buy
Our BCR Scores and leaderboard rankings are set by our published methodology — prize value, odds transparency, ease of entry, free entry route availability and trustworthiness — using live data. No competition site can pay to appear on the leaderboard, to improve its score, or to soften a review. We review sites we have no commercial relationship with in exactly the same way as partners, and several partners’ reviews on this site include criticism. If a commercial relationship ever created a conflict we could not manage, we would end the relationship rather than change the review.
Advertising rules we follow
As a UK publisher we aim to comply with the CAP Code and ASA guidance on affiliate marketing, which require advertising and affiliate content to be obviously identifiable. That is what this page, our in-review disclosures and our sponsored link markup are for. If you think we have fallen short anywhere, tell us and we will fix it.
